Midwest Jobseeker has been established to provide a state of the art resource to assist job-seekers to find employment and for employers to easily advertise job vacancies.

Joblink Midwest is a non-profit community organisation based in Geraldton and Manager, Leon Norris has been working on the project with his staff for the past six months. "there has been a lot of initial research and groundwork completed combined with many hours of testing and adjusting. It has been an exciting project to be involved with and I'm sure there will be immense benefits for local employers and job-seekers" said Mr Norris.

The focus of Midwest Jobseeker is on local jobs although employers, recruiters, group training companies and labour hire organisations will be able to promote positions outside of the local area and job-seekers can access the vacancies from anywhere they have internet access. An increasing number of job-seekers now utilise online facilities to seek job opportunities but a facility that has a focus on local jobs has not existed before now. Job-seekers can either search for jobs without registering or if they choose to register for free they can upload their resume, receive job alerts and allow prospective employers to contact them. Employers must be registered to display ads or contact job-seekers and registration is very quick and easy. Employers can also display their company logo and have their company featured. The level of information displayed is entirely up to the employer and they have control of how they would like their vacancies applied for. Jobs are displayed 24 hours a day usually for a period of one month depending on application closing dates which are set by the employer. As Joblink Midwest are a non-profit community organisation they have been able to keep advertising costs to a minimum and are also able to offer organisations with regular job vacancies to promote package rates to cater for their needs. Joblink Midwest are also able to assist job-seekers with job applications, resumes and interview skills through their Workforce Development Centre services which are also available through the regional Telecentre network.
