Job Description:

Hospitaity Inn, Surestay, is seeking a committed, loyal and friendly Guest Service Agent and all rounder to join our Front Office and restaurant team on a casual basis. Approx 25-30 hours per week, split across both reception and restaurant. 

The Guest Service Agent is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, with daily responsibilities including; 

  • Providing exceptional guest experiences at both check in and check out. 
  • Creating and managing reservations through our reservations system (RMS)
  • Answering all incoming calls and emails promptly and professionally
  • Managing all online bookings from third party websites
  • Administrative support to the Front Office and Finance team
  • Greeting all guests in a friendly, genuine and professional manner,
  • Handling telephone enquiries and converting these to reservations,
  • Assisting in-house guests,
  • Finalising guest accounts
  • Breakfast and evening waitressing at our well established Emerald Room Restaurant. 

Job Requirements:

  • Potential applicants must be available for a variety of shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and Public Holidays (as required). Reception operating hours are 7am-10pm 7 days. 
  • Passion for providing friendly personalised service,
  • Reliable and able to work a flexible fortnightly roster in both departments (reception and restaurant) 
  • Excellent grooming and presentation
  • High attention to detail
  • Personable and bright face to face and phone manner
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills
  • Previous experience with Windows systems and/or Front Office reservation program RMS (would be advantageous)
  • Previous experience with Front Office, Customer Service and/or Hospitality and Tourism qualifications will be highly regarded.
