Job Description:
Early Explorers Learning Centre has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Early Years Cook/support worker to join our team.
Job Requirements:
The role:
We are ideally looking for an experienced candidate who has a Certificate II or III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent,
The successful person MUST have experience in Early Learning Cooking, ordering, stock control and food safety audit reporting as well as being up to date with current legislation for Food Safety Planning.
Part time, 35 hours per fortnight, Monday – Friday 8-30am – 12pm
Support the health and wellbeing of the children through planning and preparing nutritious meals and snacks.
Must have experience with preparing meals to meet the needs of children with special dietary requirements and allergies.
Order food supplies in consultation with Centre Manager
Ensure safe and hygienic storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks.
Keep the kitchen clean and tidy including following the daily cleaning procedures.
Work as part of a team to create a safe, caring and educational place for children.
Adhere to compliance audits and regulatory standards.
Other duties may include helping with the Laundry
A certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care would be an advantage
Follow the kitchen daily cleaning procedures
Benefits:

Working in a centre with an “Exceeding” rating
If you have cooking experience or have a Cert II or III in Commercial Cooking or equivalent, hold a Food Handling and Menu Planning certificate, and have experience of compliance and cooking meals within an Early Learning Centre or similar environment, then we'd love to meet you!
