About the role
Welders
  • AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)
  • Experience with Various Types of Welding 6G using SMAW, FCAW, GMAW & GTAW 
  • Weld components and frameworks using a variety of process either to client specifications or to AS1554
  • Must be confident in passing a weld test
  • Experience welding structural steel, tanks and pipe
  • Proven record of producing quality welds
  • Be willing to learn new systems, and deal with varying volumes and types of work, whilst maintaining good quality and having a strong work ethic
  • Inspect completed works and grind, sand, polish to required finish using hand and power tools to a high standard
  • Use and maintain an automated welding machine as required by the team
  • Display a consistent commitment to a high standard of housekeeping

  • Demonstrates good communication skills
  • Be able to work unsupervised and possess initiative
  • Minimum 4 years' experience
  • Excellent trouble shooting and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work well in a team 
  • Strong commitment towards safety and quality
  • Motivated and hardworking with a professional attitude
  • Company and customer focus based
  • Supply a current manual driver's license
  • Have basic hand tools and welding helmet
  • Either have or be prepared to obtain a current Working at Heights ticket (issued within 5 years)
  • Either have or be prepared to obtain a current Confined Space ticket (issued within 5 years)
  • Forklift and EWP are desirable however not essential
  • Ability to pass a medical and D&A screen
