Production Operator – All Rounder

About the Company
Shark Bay Resources Pty Ltd. (SBR) operate a solar salt field at Useless Loop and exports high quality salt to various overseas markets. The solar salt operation is located in the remote Shark Bay World Heritage Area and occupies a position ideally suited to people looking for a combination of an interesting job and a relaxing lifestyle including excellent fishing and camping. This community has a small shop, fuel, fortnightly Doctors' visits, on site nurse with a modern and well-equipped Surgery and weekly freight delivery. There is an excellent schooling facility catering to year 6. 

About the role
The position reports to the Production / Process Supervisor and plays an important part in our daily operations. You will join and contribute to a dedicated team whilst maintaining safety standards at all times. 

We are seeking a multi skilled All Rounder with recent experience working within the Mining Industry operating various mobile plant. We also required the All – Round Mobile Plant Operator to live and work in the beautiful Shark Bay Area.

This is a position that requires relocation to the area and in order to be eligible for this position you need to have previous exposure working in remote locations with extensive mobile plant equipment experience and have an MC Driver's License. Experience with Road Ranger 18 Speed Gear Box Equipment, Dozers, Graders, Loaders, Excavators, Prime Movers and other equipment a like is essential. If you are an all-rounder with a mechanical and/or operator background, this role is for you.

You will need to have the desire to live and work in Useless Loop where you will receive all the amenities that you would expect to receive from a municipality fully paid.

Skills & Experience – Essential Criteria
  • MC Driver's License 
  • Experience operating haulage trucks and Road Ranger 18 speed gearboxes
  • Experience operating mobile plant equipment
  • Demonstrated Operations and Grader Operations Experience
  • Hold current 'C' class WA license
  • Earth moving and heavy haulage experience
  • Previous mine site experience
