About the Role
The Work for the Dole (WFD) Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a Work for the Dole project which involves designing brochures and pamphlets, coaching, training and mentoring customers in IT and graphic design while being focused around the creation of the community brochures and pamphlets. The WFD Supervisor will run two groups each week, with 20 participants in each group. This project will be based at our Geraldton site. These roles are key to the development of our customers ensuring they gain the necessary skills and competencies required to enable future employment. You will encourage and promote job search activities to suitable roles whilst supervising the activity. 

This role is being offered on a part time, fixed term contract ending 02 February 2020. Working hours - Monday to Friday 8:30am to 2:00pm.

There may be a possibility of extension depending on outcomes of the program and subject to our funding deed. 

Remuneration
A competitive salary will be negotiated commensurate with skills and experience. As Workskil Australia is a public benevolent institution, we can also offer a portion of the salary through tax effective salary packaging.

Job Requirements:

What we're looking for
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop & Microsoft Office Suite including Publisher;
  • Experience in design, producing newsletters and magazines/brochures;
  • Strong administration skills;
  • Exceptional attention to detail;
  • High level communication skills;
  • Cert IV in Training & Assessment (desired);
  • Qualifications in Graphic Design or a related field (desired);
  • Demonstrated experience in a training or mentoring capacity (desired); and
  • Ability to type a minimum of 30 wpm.
