Job Description:

My client is a forward thinking and dynamic organisation who are partnering with an outreach services organisation based the Midwest of WA to deliver remote health services to the young people of the local communities.
This is a full time, fixed term contract role until July 2021 and will be based out of Geraldton.

Job Requirements:

About the Role:

Working within a experienced team and having support of the senior manager, you will be tasked with providing counselling and therapy services to young individuals of the local and surrounding communities, conducting of assessments and development of care coordination plans as well as working with the families of those young individuals who are suffering from complex mental health issues.

Duties will include.
  • Provide a range of counselling services, both individual and group based and on and off site i.e. at schools on occasion.
  • Conducting of initial screenings and psycho-social assessments and in turn determine the most suitable services for the client and work with other stakeholders to provide a seamless connection of services
  • Extensive internal and external stakeholder engagement
  • Develop case plans
  • Promotion of services and increase performance of client intake
  • Work with local families and aboriginal elders
  • Work alongside external clinical service organisations.
About You:

You will be someone who is a registered mental health professional i.e. Social Worker, Psychologist or Mental Health Nurse and have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working with the youth mental health area.
You should be someone who is engaging, approachable and has a passion for working with children and young people.
Other skills and experience include.
  • AHPRA / AASW membership
