Fixed term contract until June 2021

About the Role
GHD has been appointed by Main Roads to deliver a state-wide Operational Asset Management Support Service (AMSS) contract. Under this contract, GHD will provide centralised and regional support to assist Main Roads manage and maintain the State road network.  

We currently have an opportunity for a degree qualified engineer with solid Project Management experience working with Main Roads specifications to take up a rewarding position in Geraldton. This is a residential role for a fixed term contract, with a possibility of extension.

Job Requirements:

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Manage the scoping, project development, design, delivery and review of projects.
  • Prepare project plans, including work plans, Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans, financial and resource plans
  • Manage and report on the delivery of assigned projects to ensure that the projects are completed to approved scope, budget, time and quality.
  • Prepare contract documentation and manage the contract tendering process
  • Manage contracts and contractors to ensure that contracts are completed to approved scope, budget, time and quality
Key skills, qualifications and experience required:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related Engineering discipline (preferred).
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in a Project Management role or similar.
  • Experience in road and/or bridge design construction and maintenance
  • Knowledge of Main Roads Specifications.
  • Sound Excel, Word, Microsoft Project knowledge.
  • Design knowledge advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

As a part of a small Regional team, there are times when you will need to be able to work autonomously and use your networks to assist with problem solving.
